Longwood Gardens

There is an old estate here that the original owners started turning into Gardens in the early 1900's. He started collecting trees from all over the world and then selling tickets for people to come look at them. Then it was developed more and more over the years to include French gardens, Italian gardens, children's gardens. For Utah friends think Thanksgiving point times 10!

I had great appreciation for this because my Dad has a beautiful backyard that he loves, many neighborhood functions, weddings, and my wedding luncheon have all been held there. I spent a lot of time growing up with my dad teaching me many things about cultivating flowers and plants and developing a nice landscape. I can image the work that goes into all of it.
When my parents sell their house I will miss the backyard the most.

Anyway, my friend Ashley and I got free tickets and drove down together. It was a nice, pretty day.
