Birthday Bash!

April is a big month for birthdays for both sides of our family. This year Suzanne pulled together a party for Dan, me, Trey, and Paige. We went to a park and played games, ate treats and yummy sandwiches!

Thanksgiving Point

Living in Utah County is so fun when you have kids. There are so many activities to do that are pretty inexpensive. One of our favorites is the petting zoo at Thanksgiving Point. Ashton loves the horse rides, there is fun to be had by all!

OES

My mom and I took my kids and my nephews to the park at my old elementary school. I have so many good memories at this school it was neat to push my girls on the same swings I grew up on. It was such a sunny spring day we had to take advantage of it!

Easter 2010

Happy Easter!
We had an Easter Egg hunt, and a trail of candy leading to the girls Easter baskets, and our annual Easter meal prepared by my mom and Kristen. What a blast! It was so fun to have my cousin's family over too!

Happy Birthday Ashton!!!!!

Ashton, you are 5 years old! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! We moved to Orem, two days before your birthday. It was just in time to have a pretty princess party with as much pink as possible. Complete with a dragon and a prince! I love you so much, you are my little ray of sunshine, happy, positive, friendly and a problem solver. You can always find a simple solution to get what you want. Love you soooo so much!
We had so many games for the kids to play, dragon egg hunt, princess pinata, princess, princess, queen/knight,knight king (duck duck goose), Royal Ball (musical chairs), we had them make necklaces as they came in to entertain the children as we were awaiting everyone's arrival.
Ashton loved walking around in her princess dress and crown and wand that my mom and Kristen had bought for her. Adrienne insisted she dress up like a dragon, rather than a princess (we had been watching Enchanted, a lot!) and Dan dressed up like a Prince (costumes compliments of my amazing party planning sister Kristen). Ashton loves birthdays so much, she gets so excited hearing about others' birthdays and planning her own. It was hard to not get carried away planning hers. My sister is an expert at planning parties, making them a blast, down to every last detail. She helped me immensely with this one and in years past. I enjoyed myself so much I was thinking I should have a princess party for my birthday and make all my friends dress up in ball gowns too.

I don't think I'll ever get tired of this city

Seattle is such a fun city, every time we go there, I have fun. I love spending time with Dan's sisters, mom, and his childhood friend Loni and his wife Kristy, who I am great friends with now.
We were able to go there for a quick 3 day trip in February.

Mt. Rainier
We love Natalie, Dan's niece, she is so good with our girls, and patient when they want to play with ALL of her things!
Dan with Loni's daughter. She is such a doll!
We had to have a grown ups night out. Here is Kristy and Loni.
Dan and I
Dan's mom is selling her house, so we went to help out a little bit.
Here is Ashton climbing up the really steep ladder, to the very steep roof, and me freaking out.
We stayed in Wallingford which is such a cute little city. The girls and I went to this adorable little bookstore and to get ice cream at Molly Moo's.

The ice cream was delicious. Salted caramel, I would give my right pinkie for some more of that

I love this picture. I can't explain. I just love it.
My little cutie at the park right next to where we were staying.
I also went to a naked spa (all women) with Dan's sisters, Stephanie and Shannon. It sounded so weird at first, but it was so relaxing. My skin has never looked so smooth and clean and healthy. Seriously I would go again in a heartbeat. Plus it was so fun to be able to talk to Stephanie and Shannon, they are so smart, I felt smarter just being around them. Quite enlightening.

What a blast!
