Father's Day for Dan

Dan,

Happy Fathers Day! You are a great dad. Ashton and Adrienne love watching out the window and waiting for you to come home. Even if you've only been gone for a few minutes they proclaim: "Papa's home!!!!!!!!" and then run to the back door. Adrienne giggles when you pretend to eat her big toe. And Ashton likes for you to take her on walks in the stroller.

Fathers day

Love you Dad! You are a great father and an incredible Grandpa. Hope this is a good Father's Day weekend for you.

My sister got this idea (I think from tipjunkie) and so we did it for our Dad. I think it turned out pretty cute. And I have a suprise for tomorrow on the real Fathers Day.

Conversations and cute things

Conversations with Ashton.

Ashton: Mom, lets go to Cade's house.

Me: We are going to eat lunch, take a nap, then we can go to Cade's house later.

Ashton: Moooom! Don't say 'later', thats not a good word!

We have a routine that we do every night for bedtime. Read scriptures, say prayers, sing songs, brush teeth and face, then I make up stories for Ashton. Her favorite are the Jasmine and Aladdin 'series'. They usually parallel something we did that day or are going to do tomorrow. And have a little moral about something I want her to learn, ie listening, picking up toys, sitting still, etc. Sometimes she makes up her own story about what J&A are doing. It is so cute. Next we recite Jack and Jill and Humpty Dumpty. I love how she says them so I am going to write them down so I don't forget.
Jack and Jill
recited by: Ashton, age 4
Jack and Jiwl
Wen up a heal
to fetch a bucket, a bucket of water.
Jack fewl down and bwoke his cwrown and
Jiwl coming tumbleiwing after.

Humpty Dumpty
recited by Ashton:

Humpy Dumpty sat on a rock
Humpy dumpy fell off the wall
awl the kings horses and awl the kings men
put humpy dumpy together again.

Notice she substituted the word 'put' for "couldn't"

She's on optimist. ;)
